 At Cowlitz Credit Union you have several options for saving money. Whether you're saving for vacation or retirement we have you covered. Your deposited funds are insured up to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Administration, an agency of the federal government.

Regular Savings
This account is considered your membership account. A deposit of $25.00 is required, and once made this account makes you a member of our credit union. It's that easy. Dividends are are paid quarterly, and you will receive a quarterly statement showing you the activity on your account.
Money Market Investment
This account is for members that want a better return on their savings, without tying up their funds for a long period of time. You can make unlimited additions to this account, however there is a minimum withdrawal limitation of $500 or more. You may also make six transfers for withdrawals from this account per month.Dividends are paid monthly.
Certificates
We offer several certificate options to choose from: Our Regular Certificates offer terms from 6 - 24 months with a minimum deposit of only $1000. You may withdraw the dividends posted to these accounts, however withdrawals of principal before the term expires will be considered early withdrawals and will be subject to a 90 day interest penalty. We also offer Add-on Certificates for members that don't quite have $1000 to start with, but want to earn a better return on investment. You may start an Add-on Certificate for as little as $100 with terms from 6 - 18 months. Deposits can be made at any time, however early withdrawals are still subject to a 90 day interest penalty. Holiday Club Accounts
This account can be opened until October 31st of each year. You may come in and make deposits or set up payroll deduction and have your deposits made for you automatically! On the first business day of November these funds will be transferred into your Regular Savings account so you can begin your holiday shopping! Dividends are paid quarterly on this account.

Kirby Kangaroo Club (Formerly Critter Club)
This is a club account for children ages 3-11 years old. Kirby Kangaroo will help kids to learn the concept of saving money as well as having fun while doing it. Kids will receive a birthday card, a quarterly newsletter, and can participate in special contests and promotions created especially for them. Accounts can be opened with as little as $5.00, however they must have an adult joint owner on the account. Smart Start
This account is geared for young adults that are just starting out. You become a Smart Start member by opening a savings account with as little as $5 (if 18 years old or younger). You are then eligible for a checking account, with no monthly service charge and free checks. If you qualify, you may also sign up for a Visa Debit Card to use ATM withdrawals and POS "point of sale" transactions.
