Lorretta LaFave is the Administrative Secretary for Catlin Elementary School. She’s also a Cowlitz Credit Union Ambassador. 

Loretta started with the Kelso School District 20 years ago, and has been with Catlin for the past seven. By all accounts, she brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to her position. “I really enjoy my fast-paced job,” she says. “Most people don’t realize how much is involved in being a school secretary, but there are so many people to get to know, and so many kids to help, it’s something different every day. Just when I think I’ve seen it all, something or somebody surprises me and I get to learn even more. I really enjoy seeing the kids and families grow up. Elementary school is the best!”

A Cowlitz Credit Union member for the past 25 years, Lorretta is a natural as a Credit Union Ambassador. She and her family have used multiple checking accounts, savings accounts, Visa cards and loans over the years, so it’s easy for her to share credit union information with her co-workers. “I always encourage people to join,” she says, adding that she distributes Cowlitz Credit Union information to the staff members at her school.
